Pattaya Plans Modern LED Billboard Upgrade for Walking Street

PATTAYA, Thailand (May 15, 2025) – At a meeting held in the reception room of Pattaya City Hall, Mayor Poramese Ngampichet, alongside his secretary, Mr. Phumipipat Kamolnath, joined a Zoom conference with a company specializing in the design and installation of LED billboards. The discussion focused on modernizing the iconic signage along Walking Street to make it more contemporary.

The proposed concept uses cutting-edge 3D graphic animation technology, featuring a dolphin mascot to symbolize Pattaya’s coastal identity. A promotional video was presented, capturing the unique charm and atmosphere of the city.

Mayor Poramese stressed the importance of road safety in the area, particularly regarding the brightness of LED displays, which could potentially distract drivers or cause accidents. He urged the company to prioritize a balance between aesthetics and safety in their designs.
Representatives from the company stated that they would refine the video content and screensaver designs within 10 days.
