PATTAYA, Thailand – Residents of Pattaya secretly recorded a woman selling drugs on the beachfront, just 500 meters from a police station, and handed the evidence to authorities. The incident, captured on video late on May 16th, 2025, has led to the arrest of a suspected drug dealer.
The footage, provided to local police by concerned citizens, shows a Thai woman, estimated to be 35 to 40 years old, casually offering methamphetamine, commonly known as “ice,” for 800 baht. Posing as a potential buyer, the informant engaged the suspect, who appeared unfazed by the law, even haggling over the price as if selling legal goods. Shockingly, she arranged to deliver the drugs in an alley next to the police station.
Acting fast, officers from Pattaya City Police Station deployed an undercover agent to conduct a sting operation. The agent purchased one bag of methamphetamine for 800 baht, leading to the suspect’s immediate arrest. The woman, whose identity has not been disclosed, was detained and charged with drug trafficking, a serious offense under Thai law.
She has been handed over to investigators for further legal proceedings. The suspect did not appear to be majorly concerned with her arrest, as she was seen by The Pattaya News reporters laughing and joking with police and smiling, despite her legal charges.
