PATTAYA, Thailand – On May 23rd, 2025, at 8:06 PM, a joint task force comprising Chonburi Provincial Administrative officials, Banglamung District officials, and Pattaya City Police conducted random inspections of entertainment venues in Pattaya to prevent illegal activities, including underage access, drug use, and possession of firearms.
The operation was led by Acting Lt. Cholthit Leyanont, Chonburi Provincial Administrative Officer, Mr. Nathaphop Yomjinda, Deputy District Chief of Banglamung, and Pol. Sub-Lt. Suchart Dusadee, Deputy Inspector of Pattaya City Police. The team inspected four entertainment establishments, checking operating licenses, employee records, identification of patrons, weapons, and conducting urine tests for drug use among staff. No violations, underage individuals, or drug-related issues were found, reflecting the venues’ strict compliance with government regulations.
Acting Lt. Cholthit Leyanont stated that the operation aligns with the policies of Chonburi Governor Thawatchai Srithong, describing the teamwork between provincial and district administrative authorities and Pattaya City Police to address social issues, particularly drug-related problems, and ensure tourist safety.
“We aim to create a secure environment for tourists, fostering confidence in Pattaya’s safety,” he said, urging business operators to adhere strictly to government guidelines.
