Chonburi, May 26th, 2025 – Khao Kheow Open Zoo invites tourists and the public to join its 47th anniversary celebration from May 31st to June 3rd, 2025, under the theme “Celebrating the Bond Between Humans and Animals.” The event highlights the zoo’s vital role as a center for conservation, protection, and breeding of rare wildlife in Thailand. This grand celebration aims to reinforce the zoo’s commitment to wildlife preservation while offering engaging, educational activities for families, children, and visitors of all ages.
Event highlights include the “Khao Kheow Through the Years” photo exhibition showcasing 47 years of history, displays on conservation and breeding efforts for rare species, adorable mascot dance shows, booths from zoos across Thailand and Chonburi’s tourism sector featuring local products, fun activities for kids with prizes and souvenirs, a special talk titled “From Past to Present” on June 1st with former zoo directors and conservationists, and the “Night Zoo” experience at 7:00 p.m., offering a glimpse into the lives of nocturnal animals. Visitors can also participate in volunteer activities to support elderly and disabled animals.
