Pattaya Waitresses Seek Justice After Brutal Assault by Foreign Woman and Companion

Pattaya, Thailand – On May 20th, 2025, at 2:06 PM, two waitresses, Ms. Rosukon (last name withheld), 26, and Ms. Rungtiwa (last name withheld), 33, approached the media to report a violent assault that left them injured.

The incident, which occurred at a local eatery in the Jomtien area of Pattaya stemmed from a simple request to lower voices. The victims provided CCTV footage as evidence and urged police to track down the perpetrators for legal action.

According to the victims, both employed as waitresses at a restaurant in Pattaya, the incident took place after their shift when they visited a nearby eatery, not their own restaurant, in Jomtien to eat. While waiting for their food, they noticed a group at a neighboring table—consisting of two women, one a foreigner—drinking beer, eating, and talking loudly. Ms. Rosukon politely asked them to lower their voices, saying, “Could you please keep it down?” This request infuriated the two women, who responded with verbal abuse, including crude insults about the victims’ parents, reportedly shouting, “Are your father and mother dead?”
The victims retorted, with one saying, “Yes, my father is dead, but my mother is alive.” This further enraged the assailants, who then allegedly physically attacked the victims. One of the women grabbed Ms. Rosukon’s hair, dragging her toward the beachfront, while attempting to strike her with a beer bottle. When Ms. Rosukon raised a chair in self-defense, one of the attackers allegedly jump-kicked her, causing her to fall and sustain injuries. The assailants continued the assault, ignoring onlookers, including tourists, shouting to stop. Bystanders eventually intervened, and the two women returned to their table to resume drinking, showing no apparent concern for the law.

The victims, bloodied and injured, sought treatment at a local hospital before filing a police report. They expressed fear that, as ordinary waitresses, their case might be overlooked, allowing the suspects to escape justice. They handed over CCTV footage from the scene to investigators as evidence and pleaded with authorities to locate and prosecute the suspects.
Police have received the footage and are working to identify and apprehend the suspects. The victims hope their public appeal will ensure accountability and prevent the attackers from evading consequences.
