Pattaya, Thailand – This weekend, at the Thappraya Meeting Room in Pattaya City Hall, Mayor Poramese Ngampichet presided over a ceremony to award certificates to participants of the 2025 Foreign Language Communication Training Program for the Public, organized under the fiscal year 2025 budget.
Deputy Mayor Krisana Boonsawat stated that the program aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to communicate effectively with foreigners. “The training enables participants to apply their newfound abilities in their careers,” he said, noting that this initiative aligns with the mission of the Non-Formal and Informal Education Division to provide accessible education to youth and the general public.
The training program ran from February 15 to March 30, 2025, with sessions held at Pattaya City Hall. Practical language skills were further honed at various locations, including Nong Nooch Garden Pattaya, J-Park Sriracha, and Koh Larn Pattaya. A total of 162 participants completed the program and received certificates: 52 in English (beginner and intermediate levels), 55 in Chinese (beginner and intermediate levels), 26 in Korean, and 29 in Japanese.
The ceremony also featured performances by participants from each language group, showcasing their listening, reading, speaking, and writing skills acquired during the training.
