PATTAYA, Thailand – On May 16th, 2025, Pattaya City Hall held a meeting chaired by Deputy Mayor Wuthisak Rermkijakarn to address traffic management preparations for the upcoming school reopening.
The meeting was attended by Pol. Lt. Col. Suchart Dusadee, Head of the Pattaya Police Station’s Patrol Division, Pol. Sub-Lt. Jirawat Sukhonthasap, Acting Head of the Pattaya City Secretary’s Office, along with representatives from Banglamung and Nongprue Police Stations, and other relevant officials.
The discussion focused on resolving traffic congestion issues as schools gradually resume classes, with full reopening scheduled for next week. Due to limited personnel in Pattaya City’s Special Operations Unit, which is primarily deployed to manage traffic along railway road intersections, additional support was requested from Pattaya, Banglamung, and Nongprue Police Stations.
Traffic police officers will be deployed from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM daily to facilitate smoother traffic flow for residents and parents, particularly along railway road intersections and near school entrances across Pattaya.
Special attention was given to Pattaya City School 8 near Walking Street and Pattaya City School 9, where heavy traffic congestion has been reported. The group effort aims to ensure safe and efficient travel for students and commuters during the busy morning hours.
