On May 10th, 2025, at 8:00 AM, the Takhian Tia Municipality in Banglamung District, Chonburi Province, was abuzz with activity as preparations for the upcoming local elections took place.
Mr. Narongrit Prasitnak, the Municipal Clerk and Election Director for Takhian Tia, joined the election committee chairperson, members, and staff to facilitate the distribution of ballot boxes, ballots, and election equipment. The handover process occurred at the municipal office’s meeting room, where election committee members and officials from 27 polling stations gathered to collect the necessary materials.
The Takhian Tia Municipality is divided into two electoral constituencies, each electing six municipal council members. A total of 20,743 eligible voters—11,063 women and 9,680 men—are registered to participate. The election for Takhian Tia’s municipal council is scheduled for Sunday, May 11, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at designated polling stations.
The municipality has called on all eligible voters to exercise their democratic rights on election day, stressing the importance of a fair and transparent process. “Join us in voting with integrity to shape our local community,” the municipality urged. Voters are encouraged to check their registration status via the official Facebook page.
