Minor Road Collapse in Pattaya Causes Motorcycle Accident, Authorities Rush to Repair

PATTAYA, Thailand – At 11:00 PM on May 17th, 2025, a section of Sukhumvit Road (Naklua) in Pattaya collapsed, creating a deep pothole that caused a motorcycle to lose control and crash, injuring its rider. The incident occurred opposite the Sawang Boriboon Foundation’s public service point.

Mr. Weerachit Inta, a rescue volunteer stationed at the service point, heard a loud crash and spotted the overturned motorcycle. He immediately rushed to assist, providing first aid before coordinating the transfer of the injured rider to a local hospital for treatment.

Pattaya city officials were promptly notified and inspected the site. A team of engineers were also deployed to install barriers to prevent further accidents and begin urgent repairs to restore the road surface. Authorities are working to ensure the safety of commuters and prevent similar incidents.
