Chonburi, Thailand – On May 27th, 2025, at 1:00 PM, a 30-year-old man identified as Mr. Saharat Nuangjamnong was apprehended by local authorities in Bo Win, Si Racha district, after causing a disturbance at a relative’s home in Khao Muk 4 Village. The incident was reported to local officials, who acted swiftly to prevent further escalation.
Under the direction of Mr. Weekit Manarojkit, Si Racha District Chief, Ms. Phattharawadee Jaemsuwan, Deputy District Chief, along with Mr. Khanit Jialim, Bo Win Subdistrict Headman, and Mr. Chakrit Jitratanatham, Village Headman of Moo 4, responded to reports of a man in a frenzied state smashing household items and attempting to set fire to a residence.
The suspect, Mr. Saharat, allegedly under the influence of drugs, had a history of abusive behavior toward his pregnant wife. Unable to endure his drug-induced violence, she fled to a relative’s home for safety. Upon learning her whereabouts, Mr. Saharat tracked her to the residence but discovered she had already left for another province. In a rage, he vandalized the property, smashing objects and pouring gasoline with the intent to set the house ablaze.
Fortunately, local authorities, assisted by village security volunteers, intervened promptly, subduing Mr. Saharat before he could ignite the fire. He was handed over to Bo Win Police Station for legal proceedings.
Officials credited the swift response with preventing a potentially catastrophic outcome. The case remains under investigation as authorities address the broader implications of drug-related violence in the community.
