PATTAYA, Thailand – On the afternoon of May 15th, 2025, at the Garden Cliff Hotel in Pattaya City, Mayor Mr. Poramese Ngampichet, alongside Mr. Phumpipat Kamolnath, Secretary to the Mayor, warmly welcomed Mr. Zhang Li Xin, Director of the Comprehensive Administrative Law Enforcement Bureau of Pudong New Area, Shanghai, People’s Republic of China, and his delegation. The visit aimed to exchange insights on tourism governance and management, recognizing Pattaya’s potential as a fully equipped tourism destination.
Mayor Poramese highlighted Pattaya’s status as a premier global tourism hub, attracting visitors with its diverse offerings, including natural attractions, family-friendly sites, cultural experiences, and famous 24-hour entertainment and nightlife.
He also pointed out the city’s commitment to safety and convenience, supported by a real-time CCTV traffic monitoring system, aligning with the “Better Pattaya” policy for sustainable tourism. “We strive to ensure every visitor enjoys convenience, happiness, and peace of mind, leaving with a desire to return,” he stated.
This is part of a larger mission to show Chinese tourists that Thailand and Pattaya is safe and welcoming for Chinese tourists, amidst concern about many Chinese worried about safety and choosing to visit Vietnam instead, as we have written about previously here.
